Since 2015, the property price in Rouen has increased by 23%!
In Rouen, the rise in property prices is accelerating!
As we have seen, for six years now, housing prices have been trending upwards, reaching € 2,894 per m² in September 2021. But reading the LPI-SeLoger Barometer, we see that in Rouen, the acceleration in prices has been particularly clear over the past year. All other things being equal, while between September 2020 and September 2021, prices per m² increased by 9.6% over 1 year, over the previous six years, the largest annual increase (in September 2018) was only 4.6%. Against all expectations, in September 2017 and September 2015, the property price in Rouen fell – respectively – by 4.2% and 2.7% over one year.
Over the past six years, it is therefore indeed the rise in prices that has prevailed. Intra-muros, it is clear that, if they have increased throughout the city, buying real estate costs (still) less and less as one moves away from the hyper-center. Likewise, persistent price differences. This is (still) the case, for example, between districts such as Grand Mare and Vieux Marché-Cathédrale or (although the gap is tending to narrow) between Rouen right bank and Rouen left bank.
