Radiodays Europe announces Malmö, Sweden as host city for 2022
October 11, 2021, Lisbon, Portugal: Radiodays Europe announced today that the host city for 2022 will be the beautiful and dynamic city of Malmö, Sweden and will be held on May 15-17, 2022. After more than a decade of taking Radiodays to almost everyone corner of Europe, Radiodays Europe is on its way back to the Scandinavian region, where it started in 2010.
Radiodays Europe was held for the first time in Copenhagen, with the support of radio organizations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
Quote Swedish Radio:
Some of you remember the first Radiodays Europe held in Denmark and now we return to Sweden even though it is a short train journey across the bridge to the capital of Denmark Copenhagen.
Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, is best known recently for the TV series The Bridge written by Hans Rosenfeldt. A joint creative production between Sveriges Sveriges Television and Danmarks Danmarks Radio, it has been shown in more than 170 countries. A story of murder and intrigue and worth watching before we arrive at Radiodays Europe 2022. And in the middle of the series is the Öresund Bridge, which connects Malmö, Sweden, with Copenhagen, Denmark. There will be, we hope there will be no murders and intrigues, but we will have more fantastic speakers, sessions, networks and hope to see more of you next year when the pandemic eases.
There is nothing more we can say about how wonderful it has been here in Lisbon in the year 2021 to welcome guests, participants, friends, radio and podcast professionals back to our live events and with the added bonus of being able to watch at home online for those who do not participate and watching Catch Up after the event.
Quote from Peter “This year at Radiodays Europe, we have opened the doors again and gained new contacts that have been more important than ever after two years of quarantine and pandemics. The radio and podcast industry has flourished in many ways but we know it has not always been easy and we hope we have brought you all together to continue the great traditions of making contact with our listeners and with each other.
We know that in May next year, Radiodays Europe will again be different. There is nothing we can change about the past, but in the future we know that even if it has changed, radio is still strong and it is reliable to go to the media for many. We look forward to next year giving you the taste of Scandinavia with a taste of Denmark as a bonus! ‘
Radiodays Europe in Lisbon 2021 had 800 registered personal participants for two days and 729 active participants online. For those who are registered for the event, the sessions, networks, exhibition venues will be available for 30 days after the event.
