City action plan must get the elderly out of corona isolation
The City of Brussels, together with the OCMW, wants to help elderly people who have suffered from social isolation due to the corona crisis. For example, the city wants to appoint an advisor for seniors, run buses for city activities and start up support networks among neighbours. All this is part of the Plan for the Elderly that the City of Brussels and its CPAS presented on Monday.

Local vigilance
According to the city, the vigilance of the neighborhood is extremely important to detect as many vulnerabilities as possible in the elderly. This is one of the reasons why the 18 community centers are also being involved and local aid networks are being set up among neighbors in neighborhoods where they are not yet present. The City also hopes to make the digital smaller by making material available, providing it at home and continuing the offer of computer courses.
