Bubenské nábřeží and Argentinská: Work will limit traffic
DPP is gradually replacing old panels with new technology on all lines in Prague. They placed the rails on a concrete slab and use modern rail fastenings, thanks to which tram traffic on such repaired lines is larger and quieter. The road will have a new asphalt surface.
DPP will first start repairing the section from the intersection on the Kapitán Jaroš embankment at the Vltavská metro station to the intersection of Bubenského nábřeží and Argentinská streets. The track will be repaired in the length of about 230 meters. Next year, the company will start repairing the section around the Prague Market Square, where work will follow on from the start of construction of a footbridge from Holešovice to Karlín.
The works will affect the operation of tram lines. Lines number 1 and 25 they will run in the section Strossmayerovo náměstí – Dělnická via the stops Veletržní palác, Výstaviště, Nádraží Holešovice and Ortenovo náměstí. Tram number 6 will be extended from 6:15 to 21:30 in the direction from the center from the Palmovka stops via the Balabenka, Gong Theater and Nádraží Vysočany stops to the Vysočanská stop.
Line number 12 in the direction from Sídliště Barrandov it will end at the Vltavská stop on the bridgehead of the Hlávek Bridge. From there it will continue as line number 14 to Spořilov. On the contrary route number 14 changed in the direction from Spořilov to Vltavská in the order number 12 and will go to Sídliště Barrandov. Due to this, the Vltavská stop is being built on the bridgehead of the Hlávek Bridge.
It will be introduced in daily operation alternative bus service X25, which will go from Strossmayerova náměstí across Vltavská and further around the Prague Market to Maniny.
Argentine
Road workers will also begin repairing the surface of the busy Argentinská Street in Prague 7 on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in the section from Bubenského nábřeží to Kouteckého Street. They mill the asphalt surface and then lay a new surface, which replaces the new anti-noise. Cracks in the roadway will be repaired, the heights of the utility networks will be adjusted in height and a new traffic sign will be created. Workers also repair drainage.
The restrictions will last first from 13 to 22 October, when the right lane in the direction of the center will be closed and drivers will drive only one. In the direction from the center, Argentinská and Za Viaduktem streets in the section Kouteckého – Bubenské nábřeží will be passable through two lanes. From Wednesday the 13th to Friday the 15th of October, the right lane will be closed in Za Viaduktem Street and cars will drive along the left lane. At 16 to October, the left lane will be closed and traffic will be led in the right lane.
In the second phase of repairs from 23 to 31 October, the Argentine will only pass through the lane from and to the center. The final phase of the reconstruction will begin on November 1, 2021, and its end has not yet been determined. However, half of the lane in the direction from the center will be closed. Argentinská Street will be passable in the direction from the center by one lane and Za Viaduktem Street by one lane from the center and the other to the center.
The repair in Argentinská is carried out in coordination with the repair of the tram line on Bubenské nábřeží, the reconstruction of traffic lights at the intersection of Argentinská and Plynárná and the transfer of high voltage in Argentinská. At the same time, the repair is necessary due to further reconstruction of the sewerage system, gas pipeline, roadways and the pedestrian promenade on Bubenské nábřeží.
