Banco Montepio Acredita Competition Portugal chooses six entrepreneurship projects – Jornal Económico
The winners of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal entrepreneurship competition have already been chosen. There were six winning projects, selected in a pitch evaluation session by a jury composed of chosen partners and entrepreneurs.
“The projects are integrated into social entrepreneurship axes (Social Entrepreneurship Award, supported by Banco Montepio), technology (K.Tech Award, supported by KCS iT), innovation linked to water (H2O Innovation Award by Águas de Gaia), ( Award Brisa Mobilidade) and the creation of smart cities (Award Gaia 3C: Circular Construction of the City), alongside the general category of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal Contest, and reflect the preached nature of the initiative”, the bank refereed in a statement.
The 11th edition of the Contest featured a submission of 10,620 business ideas. “The initiative took place for the first time in the north, with the support of the Vila Nova de Gaia City Council, and is open to the online community”, the bank says.
The winners were:
Social Entrepreneurship Award: Techtale – Solution that aims to help therapists specialized in pediatric neurological rehabilitation to make their care more practical and personalized, through customizable games and books that can be adjusted according to the patients’ needs.
K.Tech Award: Job Coach – JobCoach brings together students, companies and education in a digital platform that streamlines the entry of students into the job market, matches finalists with the market and innovates the current recruitment paradigm, eliminating recurring problems.
Brisa Mobilidade 2021 Award: We can charge – Solution to manage and control, in an intelligent way, charging networks for electric vehicles.
H2O Innovation Award: PWTech – PWTech was born with the objective of taking quality water to places of difficult access and with reduced infrastructure. Its performance has expanded over the years, and today the product supports from teams to fight forest fires to the civil construction, agricultural and basic industries. In addition to being robust, adaptable, lightweight and portable, the product now definitely enters the universe of sustainable cities, smart cities and the “internet of things”.
Gaia 3C Award: ROOTure – ROOTure is a collaborative e-commerce platform that connects sellers to buyers of handcrafted products. The aim of the project is to connect and bring together artisans and designers, especially from sparsely populated regions, in a co-creation process that emphasizes the needs and expectations of potential customers, in order to satisfy the demands of the global market, promote innovation, the possibility sharing techniques and knowledge.
