This local delinquency treatment group will focus on the Victoire district, the Cours de la Marne and the Saint-Jean train station.
This Tuesday, the prosecution and the police will learn from the Saint-Michel local delinquency treatment group (GLTD), launched in October 2020, and which is coming to an end. This device piloted by the prosecution and the national police had been decided to try to stop a drift in this sector which had become the scene of a large number of acts of delinquency, for several months.
The GLTDs, created in 1997, consistent with the means on a district, for a given period, when delinquency flares up. It is set up by the prosecution, under the responsibility of the public prosecutor. It helps to strengthen collaboration between the police, justice, political authorities (town hall), even associations.
The first progress report last January made it possible to note a significant improvement in the situation: slowing down of the degradation, curbing of the worsening of the facts, in particular attacks with knives. The number of procedures, on the rise, made it possible to settle cases. The conclusions that will be unveiled this Tuesday morning must have the same tone. A second GLTD should see the light of day, in the areas of Victoire, the Cours de la Marne, the Saint-Jean station, which is experiencing an increase in criminal acts.
