Specially came in Normandy pour the festival mail, the weekend of October 2 and 3, 2021 at Grand-Quevilly (Seine-Maritime), Jace has produced several solo and collaborative works in the former postal sorting center, but also in the streets of Rouen. “We extrapolated a little as usual,” he says, happy to have reviewed “his old acquaintances”.
Les Gouzous, hilarious and poetic
“Lksir, the artistic director of the festival, accompanied me on the outings,” says Jace. We had already worked together in Reunion. We both have fairly flexible universes that respond to each other quite easily. The duo were prolific despite the terrible weather.
Most of these improvised works feature Gouzous, Jace’s little yellow characters, sometimes hilarious, sometimes poetic, like this knight in not very reckless underpants pushed into battle by a princess, this rather deceptive angel, a couple who appear to through the vegetation, and many other surprises.
To discover them, you will have to walk both sides of the city. “I never say where they are, but it’s not that hard to find. There are even clues in the photos I post. To stay in the spirit of the artist, we let the bravest embark on a little treasure hunt. For others, there are the artist’s social networks.
