The streets of the Pink City have seen all the colors! Thousands of people marched, Saturday October 9, 2021, to Toulouse, for the great return of the Pride March, 26e by name.

11,500 participants and no incident, according to the prefecture
According to estimates from the Haute-Garonne prefecture, some 11,500 participants answered the call of this 26e editing. And if the State services had (for a time) wanted the procession to avoid the city center, citing “security reasons” linked to the concomitance of the undeclared demonstration of the sanitary pass, no notable incident has not been reported, police report.
After a standoff and a petition
Recall that the holding of the event was uncertain, after a standoff between the organizers and the prefecture, which wanted to change the route proposed by the collective Pride Toulouse. But the organizers had launched a petition – signed by more than 12,600 people – for the parade to take place in the hypercentre, and had finally won the case. The march was able to start from the Place du Capitole, with the presence of some 22 characters This year. In the program ? Parade, music, and of course to deploy rainbow flag … In the usual fervor!
UN associative and institutional village had also been installed in the Capitol, with many actors of LGBTQI + life.
After two years of absence
Canceled in 2020 due to the health crisis, then postponed to the summer of 2021 for the same reasons, the Pride March is back this Saturday in Toulouse, after two years absence.
