The World Languages Forum returns to Place du Capitole in Toulouse for its 27th edition during the afternoon of Sunday, October 10. “During this day, the people of Toulouse can come to meet more than a majority of languages and cultures from around the world around initiation workshops and popular activities. From Amharic to Zaza, from Sara to Sousou via Kurmandji, no language is forgotten, ”announced the Toulouse City Hall in a press release.
Like many meetings, the forum could not take place last year because of the Covid-19 epidemic. “The forom has been very successful in Toulouse and in other cities in the region, in France and around the world. About fifty cities have tried it, thirty-five of them are getting organized regularly. Our principles and our theses have been discussed in numerous international conferences and in numerous publications while we are only a modest local association, which is not backed by any institution and which is organized only by volunteers ”, organizers.
Among the principles of the forum, “the equality of positions posing materially and spectacularly the discovery of contemporary linguistics that all languages are anthropologically equal.” To go quickly: they can all say what the speaking peoples need to say. This implies that there are no characters of languages, that there are no languages more this or that than the others (richer, clearer, more beautiful, etc.), as we can see. “Still hears everywhere, and unfortunately in major institutions of French society”.
