The book about the disappearance of Alfred Löw-Beer is published in the Czech edition. Baptism will be in the villa
The book, which takes place during the Protector, is called “Dance with the Gestapo”. At the request of Alfred’s family, the search was undertaken by former agent of the British secret services, Sir Paul Dukes, who wrote his memoirs immediately in an autobiographical novel. The work with the original title An epic about the Gestapo was published in books only once, in 1940 in Great Britain.
The ceremonial presentation of books in the Czech language will take place on Tuesday, October 12, at five o’clock, symbolically in the Villa Löw-Beer in Brno. The novel “Dance with the Gestapo” is published by the Brno publishing house Mapcards, whose owner Otto Dušek will baptize the book.
At the same time, there will be a presentation of a new experiential search game, which will become part of the Villa Löw-Beer offer program from November. “The search game is based on the detective autobiographical novel by Sir Paul Dukes. The participants of the game will find themselves in the skin of a former agent of the British secret services and will gradually solve the mystery of the disappearance of the Brno textile magnate Alfred Löw-Beer from April 1939, “as the authors of the project concept state. The game is primarily intended for adults, but families with children can also participate.
A rich cultural program is being prepared, which includes musical performances by the Gustav Soldán Orchestra as well as dramatic reading of excerpts from the book performed by the actor of the Brno National Theater Michal Bumbálek. It will be possible to use the book on the spot.
