San Marino. “The Sputnik case: extension or not?”
“We at Ēlego are deeply concerned about what will happen after October 15: will they extend our green pass? Will sputnik be recognized by Europe? Should we do a third dose? And if so, when? With which vaccine?”
These are the questions posed by the Ēlego group regarding the Sputnik vaccine and the recognition of its validity by Europe and Italy. “From the Health Secretariat we learn in the press that negotiations are underway to obtain an extension of the derogation provided for in Article 6 of the Italian Legislative Decree 111/2021, which allows San Marino citizens vaccinated Sputnik V to recognize their green pass. Is this enough? It is true that an extension rekindles a glimmer of HOPE, but can we continue in uncertainty and obscurity? It is good that the negotiations move to the facts in a short time, since the deadline is inexorable. We hope that the Government do not dwell only on the issue of the green pass exemption, also because it is nothing more than an “identity card” to identify who is vaccinated and who is not and as repeatedly claimed by the Italian mass media, they serve more than anything else to encourage administration of the vaccine, but also tackles other issues, such as the recognition of Sputnik, a crucial node, since even today the European drug agency has not approved it and seems to be proceeding much towards identification. Not to mention the fact that the European Union left to individual member states the freedom of choice on how to treat people has vaccinated Sputnik V, in fact creating real discrimination against our population, considering that several countries do not yet recognize it. .
Already in unsuspected times the San Marino vaccination situation had presented itself as thorny and complex. It should be remembered that if, upon the expiry of the exception of 15 October, no extensions, developments or acknowledgments were to be mentioned, a large number of people including workers outside the territory and students will be forced to organize themselves with tampons on tampons in order not to be denied the sacrosanct right to work. and to the study. We at Ēgo are really distressed that our government is once again not finding definitive and feasible solutions, but on the contrary it seems to be taking the path of administering a third dose with a recognized Ema vaccine soon. But is this possible after two vaccinations with Sputnik? We believe that it is the case that our institutions, at the table with the Italian ones, have a more concrete and incisive dialogue to find the solution quickly. It is not possible to continue to patch the patches, as sooner or later they break. Recall that the choice of the Russian vaccine to combat the choice in our Republic, in a first phase was an obligatory choice, given the non-compliance by Italy, but also a winning one. In fact, we have reached 81.48% (data updated to 8/10/2021) of the vaccinated population and to date few are affected and the citizens have understood the importance of immediately running for cover from a virus again. in place; therefore citizens are not disappointed who have shown themselves responsible, making them treated as “Serie B” people.
