At least the Nonntaler hospital clears after Julian Feiser’s fibula fracture.
Only two wins and eight points after 13 games – and yet the most recent defeat of the SAK in the Regionalliga was only of secondary importance. The 1: 2 (0: 2) against FC Pinzgau was overshadowed by the serious injury to Julian Feiser. The striker broke his fibula without any outside interference.
“That looked bad. It is bitter for him personally,” said assistant coach Christian Lothring, who had represented Roman Wallner, who was not present for private reasons, on the sidelines. Feiser had been admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago with a bruise and a nervous disorder that had caused numbness in the other leg. He is at least spared an operation, the hernia can heal conservatively. Feiser should return to the field in the spring.
With the failure of Feiser, however, the negative climax of the failure series at the SAK should have been reached. Because slowly the Nonntaler hospital is clearing. Stefan Federer, Daniel Raischl and Sebastian Hölzl should be back in the game after flu-like infections on Friday against Anif, as well as Eugen Rexhepi.
Seven regular players were missing against Saalfelden, so that even substitute goalie Benjamin Morawitz was substituted on as a field player. He almost even appeared as an assistant, but Petrit Nika missed the great chance to equalize in stoppage time. “Under the circumstances we sold very well and were the better team in the second half,” said Lothring.
