Antwerp residents perform breakneck feats during wedding… (Bilzen)
Some motorists made the most of it on Saturday during a wedding procession in Bilzen. The local police of the Bilzen-Riemst-Hoeselt zone was informed of the chaotic wedding procession by concerned residents. More than vehicles hindered traffic, while the occupants performed breakneck feats. Finally, three young drivers from Antwerp lost their driving license for fifteen days.
The police reports from Beverst, Rijkhoven and Bilzen center. On the Tongersestraat in Bilzen, an intervention team in an anonymous service vehicle was able to notice the procession. On a Saturday afternoon, this traffic axis, along which many shops are located, is extra busy anyway. There was clearly irresponsible driving behavior with the occupants hanging out of the windows of the cars. Police used to pull over three vehicles.
The vehicles and their occupants were subjected to a thorough check. Illegal fireworks were found in the vehicles. Of the three drivers, young people in their twenties from Antwerp, the public prosecutor’s office had it moved on site for a period of 15 days. They will later also have to answer to the police court.
One of the drivers who initially managed to get through the check causes a traffic accident with material damage even further on. The police also issued a police report as a result.
