479 COVID patients were admitted in the Netherlands on October 10, 2021
The total number of admitted COVID patients in the Netherlands is 479 on October 10, 2021, which is 9 more than yesterday. Of these, 130 are in the ICU, 3 more than yesterday. Of the COVID patients, 349 are in the clinic, 6 more than yesterday. No supraregional agreements for COVID patients were realized yesterday with the deployment of the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution. (LCPS).
New recordings. Today 57 new COVID patients have been admitted to Dutch hospitals, 8 fewer than yesterday. Of the new COVID patients, 9 have been admitted to the ICU, 3 more than yesterday and 48 in the clinic, 11 less than yesterday. For both IC and clinic, the average number of new admissions increased last week.

Occupation Intensive Care Unit. The total occupancy is with 66 to 683 beds. 130 COVID patients are now in the ICU, 3 more than yesterday and 553 non-COVID patients, 69 less than yesterday. The COVID occupancy in the ICU has fallen in recent weeks and has shown a stabilization last week.
Occupation clinic. The total occupancy has decreased by 965 to 12,786 beds. There are now 349 COVID patients in the clinic, 6 more than yesterday. The COVID occupancy in the clinic has shown an increase in the past week after a period of decline.
The influx of COVID patients has increased for both ICU and clinic last week. The COVID occupancy in the ICU has stabilized in the past week and has increased in the clinic. We expect occupancy rates to remain more or less stable this week. Based on the spread numbers of the past few weeks, it has been decided to stop spreading COVID patients between regions on Monday 11 October 2021 until further notice. The monitoring of the occupancy in the hospitals continues, so that spreading can be started again if necessary.
