Vaccari news – Poste San Marino / 2 Italy, future, Ufn …
Second and last part of the interview given by the general manager of the company, Gian Luca Amici, to “Vaccari news”. On the table, several topics
How are relations with Italy? “On March 31 – continues in this interview with« Vaccari news »the general manager of Poste San Marino, Gian Luca Amici- we met the Minister of Economic Development Giancarlo Giorgetti and the president of the Italian Post Office Maria Bianca Farina”.
What do you see in the future? “Our piano is cost-effective; at the same time, we are moving towards other services, perhaps offering products that the Italian Post Office already handles and therefore using their experience. At the moment, the parcel sector is very interesting. We would like to organize a team of specialists who go to the area to suggest new performances; for example, presenting e-commerce companies with a free platform with which to manage packages; we would act as a “concariatore”, then the individual company will choose the courier that best suits its needs. In addition, we must review the site and standardize the furnishings in post offices ”.
“There are – continues the general manager – at least two other significant unknowns to consider. One is the European directive introduced on 1 July concerning the new centralized and electronic VAT settlement system, which could impact the e-market and therefore the number of packages. The second novelty is that electronic invoicing has been launched in the country since October with an additional, predictable, decrease in correspondence. The actual consequences still need to be understood ”.
Let’s talk about delivery: how do you see the discussed question on the postal areas with which your territory is divided? “The current organization does not take into account the transformation of the market and the stability of the volumes of mail delivery and is characterized by a high degree of rigidity in coping with the change. To tackle the problem, more flexibility is needed. When there was a lot of mail and even letterboxes were insufficient, there were forty areas. We proposed to reduce the current thirty-six postal zones to twenty-four and after a profound discussion with the staff, in which openness and availability emerged, we managed to reach twenty-six ”.
The Philatelic and Numismatic Office? “It is an interesting and active reality with which there are realities present, aware that there are not many where the marketing of collectibles remains separate from the postal structure”.
