Toulouse. This performance hall puts the music hall in the spotlight “with a Club Med spirit”

The oldest who came to cheer up rue Lejeune, near Compans-Caffarelli, used to open the doors of the O Toulouse cabaret. Since the end of 2019, the brand has changed owners, a bit of a concept, but still places great emphasis on big shows, disguises, sequins and transformism.
With a “Club Med spirit”
Bruno Faure is at the helm of 9, who did not have time to get started because of the Covid-19 pandemic but who is preparing for a start of 2021 and a season with little onions. Its credo: “Put the music hall in the spotlight”, preferring this universe to that of the cabaret. And add a pinch of “Club Med spirit” to its evenings.
The backpacker’s experience
Bruno Faure has always cultivated this Club Med spirit in his professional life. Born in the Pink City and passed through the hotel schools of Mazamet (Tarn) and Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne), he joined Club Med at the age of 18 for a first experience which was to last six months. Ultimately, Club Med, its binges, its excesses, its good humor and the perfect school of respect for customers will last a good 15 years. “I traveled to ten countries, it informed me of the scene, the reception of the public,” he says.
A Ngolo Kanté jersey at the entrance
From Egypt to Morocco (where he manages an art gallery) via New Caledonia, he has traveled and crossed various cultures. An atypical life course that he displays at the entrance of 9, next to the original jersey of the French international Ngolo Kanté, worn during the quarter-final of Euro 2016 against Iceland. A jersey kept as a trophy thanks to the Moroccan technique of straw then resin.
A room with 166 seats
Back in Toulouse, Bruno Faure met his experience in the service of this new project. The objective of the place: “To put people at ease, to create a conviviality that we no longer had with the Covid. There is the will to have fun and meet again ”. The 9 consists of a 166-seat performance hall and an adjoining 40-seat bar.
It targets two types of audience: private parties (weddings, baptisms, etc.) and seminars for companies and works councils, with meal-shows type classic review, transformisms, rock show, 80s and tribute to Claude Nougaro. “I adapt to all requests. A few weeks ago, a man rented the place to celebrate his wife’s 80th birthday and asked for a flamenco show and a meal around couscous. I also had the right to a Moroccan and Cambodian wedding, ”he recalls.
The highlights of the season
For general public shows, the 9th wants to pull out all the stops with three highlights that will be regular this season.
“Every month, we will have improv shows with the Toulouse troupe Melting Pot, 80s parties and Brazilian parties that we are preparing. We will begin with one evening per month devoted to each November. Zodiac sign. We will start with Scorpios. Those who will be of the sign each time half price on the evening. And each show will be adapted to the sign in question “.
On the catering side, people have the choice between a normal meal or an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Great Brazilian evening on October 23
In this fall 2021, beautiful evenings await you in this Toulouse place: a great 80s party, Saturday October 9, a concert to the sound of Brazil by Moacyr Luz Sunday October 31 and especially “Samba Alegria Show”, the new show from Toulouse-based Selvagem Latino’s, who met the country auriverde featured. Check Saturday October 23 on your agenda! “It will be an exceptional evening with more than a dozen artists on stage,” promises Bruno Faure.
