Table tennis: Kuchl suffered the first defeat against Innsbruck
Table tennis
Tennengau lost 4-2 against the previously undefeated leaders in the lower Bundesliga play-offs.
The TTC Kuchl forced Innsbruck over the full distance on Saturday. In the end, however, the table leaders prevailed 4: 2 and inflicted their first defeat of the season in the lower play-off of the 1st table tennis Bundesliga for the Tennengau team.
Mate Moricz brought Salzburg in front of their own audience with a 3-1 win over Oscar Birriel. Things went less well for the Kuchler youngsters Thomas Ziller and Adrian Dillon, who subsequently lost their singles. The preliminary decision was then made in doubles, which was the only match that lasted five sets. However, Ziller and Moricz start with 0: 7 points in the decisive set. A backlog, the war can no longer catch up. So it was up to Adrian Dillon to save the draw for Kuchl. More than one set win was not possible for him against Innsbruck legionnaire Birriel.
