In recent weeks the Prefecture of Pisa had sent a note inviting local institutions to identify suitable accommodation facilities for Afghan citizens who in recent years have collaborated with the Armed Forces, with the Italian Embassy and with the ‘Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Afghanistan. The property identified by the Municipality was granted to the association on free loan for a duration commensurate with the duration of the humanitarian crisis, up to a maximum of 2 years. It is possible to extend the concession for another two years, subject to evaluation by the Municipal Administration, in consideration of the continuing need for accommodation. The Italian Red Cross – Committee of Pisa will have to pay for all utilities relating to the property and maintenance costs for its enjoyment, including charges and accessories, as well as all registration fees for the concession deed. On the other hand, he will not have to bear the costs of extraordinary maintenance, given the limited duration of the concession.
