Russian motorists were reminded to pay tax before December 1: Society: Russia: Lenta.ru
Russian motorists have less than two months left to pay transport tax. About it informs Auto News.
The vehicle tax must be paid by December 1. The Federal Tax Service (FTS) drew attention to an expanded list of cars that fall under the so-called “luxury tax”. Includes models from mainstream brands such as Mazda CX-9, Honda Pilot, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Subaru Outback and more.
The scheme for calculating the car tax in Russia has not changed since 2003. Its amount depends on the engine power. The highest rates in the regions are in Moscow, the lowest in Ingushetia.
In addition, from December 1, the experiment with electronic certificates of ownership of a vehicle (STS), which began on September 9, ends. Now motorists can show the traffic police officers the QR code received on the State Services portal for verification.
Despite the fact that the police check the code through their own tablets, you must have a paper STS with you. The results of the experiment will be announced this winter.
Earlier it was reported that State Duma Deputy Yaroslav Nilov uses to abolish the transport tax. He considers it unfair and suggests replacing it with a fuel surcharge.
