Prague – Most representatives of the cultural scene, which today address ČTK, perceive the result of the elections to the Chamber of Deputies positively. They rejoice at the expected end of the era of Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) and many watched with satisfaction the electoral failure of the KSČM. However, they fear delays with President Milos Zeman. Babiš’s YES movement ended shortly after the victorious Coalition Together, which has a chance to form a majority government with the coalition of Pirates and STAN. The Communists did not enter the Chamber for the first time since 1989.
For example, director Václav Marhoul perceives the result of the parliamentary elections as the end of the Andrej Babiš era. “It is the end of the Babiš era, no matter how it turns out. The second thing is that I think that (President Miloš) Zeman will not respect the result of the parliamentary elections,” Marhoul told ČTK. “As an argument, he will use the sentence we said that he will entrust the formation of the government to the chairman of the strongest party. Not a coalition. I am afraid that we will see that everything (Zeman) will not respect the results of the parliamentary elections, will not respect parliamentary democracy and the awareness of Andrej Babiš by forming a government, “said the director.
The director of Tanec Praha and the cultural operations expert Yvona Kreuzmannová are also worried about a certain protracted negotiations on the new government. “But I am very happy that people have already shown that they do not care who represents us. Now there is a reason for me to be able to agree on both sides of the coalition, it is only five parties,” she said. “According to the election debate, those who can form a government majority are the ones who can really help culture bounce back from the bottom. And in culture, I’m sure they can work together. I see this as very feasible for the cultural sector,” she said.
“I am very happy, because I lived to see communists on Czech Television and in public at all, and I did not affect my life, my son or other young people in any way,” actress Bára Hrzánová did not hide her enthusiasm. Havel Michael Žantovský considers the election result to be positive. “This is a clear change and represents the end of a populist policy that has lasted here for too long. Perhaps the election will pave the way for solving the serious problems facing this country,” he said.
Musician Ondřej Hejma was also satisfied. “Above all, it was a clear election victory, which is better than a stalemate. But on the other hand, I’m not a fan of the five-party coalition, but I think it’s fair to get a chance to show what they can do,” he said. former presidential candidate Michal Horáček. “I am extremely pleased that after thirty-two years, people have sent the communist party’s history to the dustbin. It is good that there will be only four entities in Parliament, which will speed up and clarify the discussion of laws,” the Triof coalition said and pleased director Olga Sommer. “I am, of course, excited that the Together I voted for won. I am very happy and I hope for better times, no matter how President Miloš Zeman behaves. The people have finally had enough of the eight-year rule of Andrej Babiš, and we hope that the leadership of the state by the oligarch will end, “he announces.
Concert organizer David Gaydečka believes in the change. “It’s a positive surprise and hope that change can take place. We will stop resolving the nostalgia for some post-socialist establishment and look a little into the future. The cards are, of course, in the hands of President Miloš Zeman, but a government could come that will value education, culture and will not be a government based on creatures, “he said. was mentioned in the beautiful speech that led, I hope, the future Prime Minister (Fiala), finally the state speech I heard after a long time, there was talk of Nagano and we had a similar experience at home with our friends. “There was a great hope for the change I had been hoping for for ten years,” he said.
The violinist Pavel Šporcl was similarly enthusiastic. “It turns out that people have had enough and every change. I hope that this fact will be respected by the President as well. I am extremely pleased that neither the Communists nor the CSSD have entered the Chamber. Today I am very proud of this nation and at the evening concert I will play my variations on the song Where is my home with real pride, “wrote ČTK.
The result of the election did not please the rocker Aleš Bricht, a supporter of the SPD. “I feel like we made our pants like we did in 1969 and 1989,” he said. František Ringo Čech, a supporter of President Zeman, musician, lyricist, theater director, painter and writer, was not pleased with the elections either. “I went to vote for Losna, but the Mažňák people were there. The Vons had it easy, “we use the example from the stories of Fast Arrows by Jaroslav Foglar.
The leader of Together and the chairman of the ODS, Petr Fiala, has already announced negotiations with the coalition of Pirates and Mayors. According to him, the results of the elections are clear. According to him, Zeman usually cannot ignore. The president’s spokesman Jiří Ovčáček announced that Zeman would receive Babiš on Sunday at 11:00 at the chateau in Lány.
