The Brno derby of the home team Kénik with the visiting Majlons brought a well-balanced first half of the match. After the initial half hour, the score was 13:11 in favor of the home team. Paper-stronger Královopolské handball players entered the second part of the match better and gradually increased their lead.
The best home scorers with twenty goals were 24-year-old Martin Kocich and the Serbian duo Nikola Arsenič and Dušan Živanov, who also collected a yellow card in the first minute of the match. In the 38th minute, the home team took the lead 17:16 for the last time, after which Karviná turned the score seven goals in a row and gained a decisive lead. Gunner Vojtěch Patzel scored three times during this section, who was the best scorer of the match with 11 goals. The score was closed by the Karviná goalkeeper Petr Mokroš in the last minute with a shot across the entire field.
From 17:00, a rerun of the bronze medal match from last season Lovosice – Dukla Prague and the duel Nové Veselí – Zubří will be played.
