Stalls chocolate, a poker night that turns into drama, organ concert, Brazilian dances and scientific discoveries… As every week, find our selection of ideas for outings for this sunny weekend in Toulouse.
First weekend of the Toulouse les Orgues festival
The 26th edition of the musical festival “Toulouse les Orgues” is organized from October 5 to 17. On the occasion of the first weekend of the event, we are offering a selection of four concerts:
Saturday October 9, a “sound journey” is organized at the Jacobins convent from 3 pm with the event entitled “Résonance”, offered by the group “Supersonus”. Each artist uses a different instrument: the kannel, the voice, the harp, the nyckelharpa and the organ to provide a harmonious whole.
At 8:30 p.m., the festival organizers bring together two bird singers (bird song imitators, editor’s note) and a flautist to perform an improvisation punctuated by the music of the organist Catalina Vicens in the Saint-Etienne Cathedral, for the concert “The organ and the bird”.
Sunday October 10, at 3:00 p.m., the Dumas sisters will perform in a “four-handed” concert on the organ of the Salin temple. They interpret the music of the story “Peter and the Wolf”. Then at 4 p.m., at the Saint-Jérôme church, the German organist Bernhard Haas will offer the public more than an hour of recital with an eclectic program of works dating from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Useful information : The whole program is available on the Toulouse les Orgues site. Price: from 8 to 18 euros for “Résonance” and the recital by Bernhard Haas, from 8 to 24 euros for “The organ and the bird” and 5 euros for “Pierre et le Loup”.
Chocolate in Saint-Georges
All weekend, the 27th Chocolate Artisans Market moved to Place Saint-Georges in Toulouse. You will find around ten exhibitors there who will offer tastings on almost all the stands. Chocolate canvases on the theme of “Toulouse”, produced by primary school pupils, will also be exhibited in the market.
In parallel, an unusual competition will be organized. It will be a question of guessing the weight of a chocolate rugby ball, flocked with the effigy of Stade Toulousain. You can then try to win 350 euros worth of chocolate. Lollipop making workshops are also set up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the event.
Useful information : entry is free, on presentation of the health pass.

A “murder party” organized at the Quai des Savoirs
As part of the Toulouse Polars du Sud festival, which featured detective literature, the Quai des Savoirs organizes “murder party” sessions, October 9 to 10, from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
The game, produced in the form of a “clue”, is scripted by the author and Toulouse policeman Christophe Guillaumot. The story is based on a game of poker in which the organizer dies. The objective is to find the perpetrator of the murder among the players. Each of them is linked, in one way or another, to the world of food, hence the name of the game “Maldonne Malbouffe”.
And to go further, you can extend the pleasure by visiting the “Food Code” exhibition, presented at the Quai des Savoirs last year.
Useful information : Registration by email: [email protected]. From 11 years old, in a team of six people. Address: Quai des Savoirs, 39 allée Jules Guesde, Toulouse. Three sessions are organized per day, at 10:30 am, 2 pm and 3 pm.
