DIJON: A new wine shop at the Grand Hotel La Cloche
Between shop and tasting area, the 20 by La Cloche wants to seduce wine lovers. The references are 80% Burgundy.
A subtle blend of a boutique, a cellar and a tasting area, the 20 by La Cloche is positioned as the favorite place for wine lovers. The selection pale more than one! We enter for pleasure or to please. La Cloche thus completes its offer intended for hotel guests but also for locals, with an opening until the early evening. Few of the establishments in France have their own wine shop.
Local, for locals
The selection of bottles is directly accessible, allowing to choose at a glance, for the discerning customer. For the undecided, the inexhaustible advice of Charles-Antoine Musitelli, manager of the store, will be invaluable. Explanations on Appellations, estates and tasting advice are part of the service. The idea is to offer the possibility to the inhabitants of Dijon to get a good vintage, even at the beginning of the evening. For those who forget to bring something for dinner, to give as a gift, or to share a good time with friends out of the blue, no more stress.
La Cloche pushes the cork far since everything is planned to bring a still or sparkling white wine to temperature in 3 minutes, thanks to an innovative system called “chiller”, fast, efficient and without humidity please! And to complete the offer, it even offers wine glasses, decanters and lemonade.
Accessible directly from rue Devosge, the store was designed to meet the expectations of customers in a hurry for a last minute purchase as well as curious and initiated customers.
An elegant decoration
The intimate interior is a nod to wine-growing Burgundy. The rounded wood is reminiscent of oak barrels, the impressive Burgundy limestone dominates the room and symbolizes the limestone specificity of the terroir, while the black emphasizes its elegance, enhanced by a touch of copper-colored modernity.
The score is harmoniously orchestrated by interior designer Frédéric Grosjean, Studio ADN, who also signed the renovation of the Grand Hôtel La Cloche in 2016.
Charles-Antoine Mustelli, young but on guard!
From the top of his 24 years, this young man is already showing an impressive career. Inspired and introduced into the world of wine by a cooper, he followed a license in sommellerie given by Éric Goettelmann, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, head sommelier at Bocuse then Bernard Loiseau. Charles-Antoine knows how to skillfully combine passion and rigor, educated alongside these experts. To stock the store, he selected each bottle himself, of which he knows even the smallest detail. It offers 150 references including a large majority (80%) of Burgundy wines, for his greatest pride.
Lively place
The large, cozy bench, set up out of sight, says a lot about the desire to share and discuss wines, in a friendly atmosphere. The ambition is to bring this place to life and to offer activities: tastings standing around the large stele or in comfortably seated mode. Meetings with wine growers or estates will be organized for individual and group customers. Other ideas, totally new, are currently in the process of germination, to follow!
