Celebrating Tóth and his birthday on the day of the match, Jeletovics leads as follows: DEAC, after three minutes the guests were already uncomfortably asking for their first time request (10-3). With Thames ’three-pointer, the difference soon rose to double-digit, but in the meantime, the guests also arrived at the match, closing with Ford’s baskets in an 8-2 rush (15-11). In the second half of the quarter, the hosts Aska, Drenovac and Laponik also gained momentum, and thanks to their agile play, the game ended with a 13-point lead in Hajdúság (28-15).
In the second ten minutes, the guest started better, but despite coming in for two minutes within ten, Drenovac’s agile game, played with great spirits, will soon return to the first quarter he fought separately.
In the sequel, the game sat down a bit, DEAC kept it confident for a long time, but they defeated the Polyák several times in the defense, so two minutes before the halftime, they closed to the guests with Takács’s triple for six points (41-35). In the remaining time, only one basket was born, so the blue-and-whites closed to the big break by six points.
Even after the turn, the SKC remained in full swing, taking a 7-0 run in the blink of an eye (43-44). Jeletovics blew an alarm with a close, and then Drenovac came in, but the guests kept the draw with clever play. Topics switched to a low structure, he wanted to defend in defense, but this time the attacks started to falter. With the Collins triple in the quarter, the Sopronians took advantage again, but with the Laponik triple and Drenovac’s eye-catching basket, the parties were finally able to wait for the final act with a 59-54 city-town lead.
The DEAC-Tungsram did not find the rhythm in the sequel either, they do not meet in the ring for four minutes, but fortunately the Sitkus did not parade in attack either. László Polyák broke the basket loan with a triple, but with the pace of Collins, Sopron equalized in the middle of the quarter (62-62). Collins and Ford also scored from the outside, but Lapornik didn’t let go, after Tóth’s basket he also sank two distants, so the team could go with a 70-68 lead for the last two minutes.
Drenovac already had five with him in threes, but Collins brought his own again within sight with two penalties (73-70). In the next attack, Drenovac came up again, the Serbian striker re-threw a three-pointer so one minute the clock showed 76-70.
There was no going back from here, the team of the University of Debrecen, although difficult, pulled in the victory, so after five rounds it is still at the top of the table with a 4-1 balance.
