CURRENTLY: Responses to the elections in Prague
“I went to the polls in a T-shirt with the words upside down and we can have it upstairs for now. We are seeing a number of small successes with the ongoing results. It is a good thing that the Free Bloc will not even reach the state contribution. The fact that the Communists will probably drop out of the House is great news. And so far, it looks like the two coalitions together could have a bigger parliament, and that’s the best news. So keep your head up and hopefully it will last us, “Jiří Růžička, a senator for TOP 09, a representative of Prague 8 and former director of the Jan Kepler Grammar School, told the Prague daily.
Markéta Pekarová Adamová (TOGETHER) thanks voters on Twitter. “Thank you for your support! I am glad that together we ran the campaign decently and without populist fear, now let’s keep our fingers crossed, the Czechia needs a change,” she wrote.

Patrik Nacher, the leader of the Prague candidate YES, comments on the Pirates on his Twitter and reminds that he called them the “kafka of elections”. “What I wrote yesterday that the Pirates will be the coffee of the election – they will pay 2/3 of the campaign costs and get them out of the 1/3 coalition – so today it looks like not even that,” he said.
