Court defeated against Belgium
The U19 selection lost (1-0) against Belgium this Saturday in Marbella during the friendly tournament they are playing in Spain.
Three days after its victory (3-1) over England at the opening of the tournament, the French U19 team returned to the grounds in Dama de Noche (Spain) to face Belgium.
Back to back at the break, the Bleuets cracked twenty minutes from time on a goal from Mario Stroeykens (70th). The Habs try to get back to the score and touch twice the amounts, including once on a free kick from Matthis Abline, but concede defeat.
Landry Chauvin’s players will end the competition with a match against Mexico on Monday, October 11, still at Dama de Noche (4.30 p.m.).

Landry Chauvin’s reaction
“We were a bit blunt physically, it’s very hot here and we had consumed a lot of energy three days ago against the English, when it was the first game for the Belgians. Despite that, the first half was balanced with a lot of chances on both sides, the game was packed in the second half and they were realistic where we were not. This is how we learn, it is promising and we must not throw everything away. We were able to respond despite the final score. Now it’s time to prepare for the match against Mexico, in just two days, but the Mexicans are also participating today against the English, so we will be in the same conditions ”.
