At the auction “Fantastic Art. Surrealism and Magic Realism ”, a historic record was set. The painting “Figure” by Zdzisław Beksiński was sold for PLN 1.92 million, thus exceeding the estimated value by over one million PLN. The total turnover of the box is 3.7, that the sale was in the selling market, in the auction of art for sale in the Polish.

To the group of works sold too high a range for the exclusive painting by Jerzy Duda-Gracz “Obraz 2375 / Łagów – late” for PLN 264 thousand. PLN, “Satisfying the importance of complicity” by Rafał Olbiński for 168 thousand. PLN and “Kneeling” by Karol Bąk for 72 thousand. zlotys.

Zdzisław Beksiński’s “figure” is a painting from 1978, i.e. a key wordsgo and the most famous period in Zdzisław Beksiński’s work. Last summer, it was on display at the Koneser Praga Center at an exhibition of the artist’s works. As Des Unicum reported, “the growing service of the painter and the entire nurturing of art in the last popular work, that the value of the painting every 27 times”. In 2012, the same work was sold for PLN 72.
