The fire brigade received almost 130 calls for water pumps and tree felling
Recession is showing in the last hours the bad weather “Athena” after two days that hit mainly western Greece “drowning” the Ionian islands, Epirus and Patras. After the occurrence of heavy rainfall and strong winds in areas of the Territory, from Wednesday to the evening at the Business Center Fire Brigade received 127 calls, while actions were carried out in 81 cases, mainly for tree felling, water pumping and removal of objects.

The Ionian Islands Region received a total of 27 calls, while actions were taken in:
– 4 water pumps
– 13 cutting of trees, as well as – removal of two (2) people from I.X.E. vehicle in a safe place
The Region of Western Greece received a total of 33 calls, while the actions were carried out in:
4 water pumps and
– 6 tree cuttings
The Region of Central Macedonia received a total of 36 calls, while the actions were carried out in:
– 8 water pumps
24 tree felling and
– 2 object removals
The Region of Epirus received a total of 14 calls, while actions were carried out in 9 tree cuttings
The Region of Western Macedonia received a total of 10 calls, while the operations were carried out in 5 water pumps
The Region of Thessaly received a total of 7 calls, while actions were carried out in:
– 3 water pumps
1 tree cutting and
– 1 item removal
The operational plan for dealing with the risks from the expression of floods, as well as their accompanying phenomena, remains in force, while the Fire Services of the areas that are expected to develop into phenomena remain in a state of increased readiness and further escalation, if necessary, with dispersion. personnel and vehicles in order to deal immediately with any problems.
