The American SentinelOne in Prague employs 300 people in development, the branch is headed by a boss from Avast
American software company SentinelOne from a recently established development center in Prague, it awarded an engineering center for the whole of Europe. It wants to create 300 qualified jobs here. It is planned to recruit a hundred people during the first year.
As we wrote at Lupa, SentinelOne started opening offices in the Czech Republic a few months ago. Now he wants to officially open them as part of events at the US Embassy in Prague.
He was entrusted with the management of the branch as vice president and general manager Martin Matula. Until June this year, he works as Vice President for Engineering at Avast, previously as an Engineering Manager at Cisco, Technical Director at Creative Dock or as Chief Architect at GoodData. He spent many years at Sun Microsystems and Oracle.
“Matula will lead the engineering team in the Czech Republic and will expand through Central and Eastern Europe,” the company informs.
He has SentinelOne with us open several positions, from development, specialization in big data, DevOps to technical support. There are also people in search of employees, including talents from the university.
SentinelOne deals with cyber security. It develops software that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence elements to detect threats and respond to attacks. This technology can be deployed both for common terminal equipment and for Internet stuff or clouds.
SentinelOne raised $ 696.5 million from investors during its pre-listing operation. For example, Tiger Global Management has invested. Last year’s revenue was $ 37.4 million, up 108 percent year-over-year, but the loss was $ 62.6 million. SentinelOne has already bought, acquiring Scalyr data analytics for $ 155 million in February this year.
The company was founded by veterans from Check Point, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, McAfee, Intel or the Israeli army.
In addition to Prague, SentinelOne branches are also located in Amsterdam, Eugene, Mountain View, Boston, Tel Aviv and Tokyo. The Prague offices fall under the Dutch entity.
