Portugal accounts for over 841 cases of covid-19 and eight deaths for covid-19, reveals the bulletin released this Friday by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
The region of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo concentrates the greatest number of new cases of infection (2282), followed by the North region (215) and the Center (110).
Of the eight deaths included in this bulletin, three were registered in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, two in the North, another two in the Center and one in Alentejo.
The number of hospitalizations in Portugal dropped to 332, with 21 fewer people hospitalized compared to Wednesday’s bulletin. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care units dropped to 52, five less compared to the data in the previous bulletin.
There is a record of over 841 people who recovered from covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovered to 1,074,109 since the pandemic reached Portugal.
Rt goes up but associates associates
According to the risk matrix updated this Friday, an incidence rate of infections by SARS-CoV-2 has fallen in the last 14 days, on the mainland and the national level. In mainland Portugal, the incidence rate decreased from 90.9 to 86.7 and, at national level, it decreased from 90.5 to 86.5.
The transferability index (Rt) rose: from 0.90 to 0.91 on the mainland and from 0.91 to 0.92 at national level.
