Police in Zurich are looking for witnesses – the 23-year-old rams several parked cars with his BMW
The Zurich city police received a message shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon that there had been a traffic accident with several vehicles on Alfred-Escher-Straße. According to initial findings, a 23-year-old Swiss man was driving out of town on the road with his white BMW. Shortly after the junction with the Star Road, he overtook several vehicles.
The 23-year-old collided with a vehicle that he was trying to overtake for reasons unknown. Then he crashed violently into a vehicle parked on the left edge of the lane. The 38-year-old, who was in the vehicle at the time of the accident, was injured moderately. Then the driver of the BMW collided with another vehicle parked on the side of the road. At the level of Conrad-Ferdinand-Meyer-Strasse, the passenger car finally came to a stop. While the driver of the accident vehicle was uninjured, the female passengers between the ages of 24 and 25 suffered moderate injuries.
The ambulance from Schutz & Rettung Zürich brought all the injured to the hospital, while the 23-year-old BMW driver was arrested. The cause and course of the accident are currently unclear and are being investigated by the Zurich City Police.
The Zurich City Police are looking for people who observed the accident on Friday afternoon, October 8, 2021, shortly after 5 p.m., at Alfred-Escher-Straße 86, in the immediate vicinity of Belvoirpark, or people who had information about the driving style of the white BMW between the General-Wille-Strasse and Mythenquai.
