There are the demanding customers. Those who return a dish that is not hot enough or seasoned to their liking. Those who want to talk to the chef. And there is this quintet. Dissatisfied pizza lovers.
The distributor pays the bill
The story takes place at the end of September 2021, near Toulouse, in the town of Saint-Jory (Haute-Garonne). Five men age 25 to 26 commanding their pizzas in a vending machine, accessible 24 hours a day.
But the tasting leaves them, it seems, a bitter taste, according to La Dépêche du Midi. Demonstration alcoholic, two of them decide to spend their nerves of upset gourmets on the vending machine, with fists.
80,000 euros in damages
And as if that wasn’t enough, one of them grabbed a cardboard box, stuffed it into the machine and set him on fire. A fire that will have caused no less than 80,000 euros in damages according to the manager.
But what unhappy customers didn’t know was that the distributor was also equipped … with a camera. And that he immortalized the scene before perishing in flames. If the quintet was arrested and taken into custody by the gendarmerie this week, only the suspected arsonist should be tried by the criminal court.
