Medvedchuk was brought to a new suspicion – Venediktov
The prosecutor’s office struck a new suspicion of one of the leaders of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” and Vladimir Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk.
He is accused of state radiation and facilitating the activities of terrorist organizations.
This was announced at a briefing in Kyiv by Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova.
“While our soldiers were being killed at the front, the state was visiting the suitcases of cash leaders of terrorist organizations,” Ms. Venediktova said.
For the version of this activity, revision of actions, orientation on the approach of energy independence of Ukraine.
In particular, after Russia captured part of Donbass, Ukraine was described as on the verge of an energy crisis. So it was decided to buy coal on the world market, in particular, in South Africa.
“However, Russia has little plan to disrupt the implementation of these contracts and will not allow Ukraine to strengthen its own energy independence. stated in the SBU.
In the end, those contracts were terminated, which provoked a wave of “fans” that cut off electricity in our country, said SBU Chairman Ivan Bakanov.
He said that, with Medvedchuk’s assistance, independent schemes were organized to install coal from the occupied territories of Donbass at state-owned enterprises in Ukraine.
“… In the midst of the war, some Ukrainian politicians and high-ranking officials played on Russia’s side, neglected Ukraine’s interests and built joint” schemes “with terrorists,” Ivan Bakanov said at the briefing.
The briefing released audio recordings of people with voices like Viktor Medvedchuk and Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, discussing the signing of coal contracts.
A voice similar to Medvedchuk repeatedly mentions the name of Petro Poroshenko.
Records were also released in which the original militants broadcast radio to those who visited the coal “for dill” and received a subscription for it.
According to Mr. Bakanov, the examination confirmed that one of the participants in the recordings was Medvedchuk.
Militiamen claim that more than 200 million hryvnias have been financed during the operation of pro-Russian terrorist schemes.
What about Medvedchuk now?
Medvedchuk is not detained. He is under house arrest in other cases. Today I visited the DBR, Ms. Venediktov said.
According to Venediktova, on Friday, October 8, prosecutors tried during a video announcement to Medvedchuk of suspicion. He replied, “Will you support? Won’t you? Then I’m gone.”
According to GPU cleaners, the prosecutor’s office is promoting Medvedchuk’s duration or leaving 1 billion hryvnias.
“Given what we have seen, other options, but do not turn to the version of the prospects of this Mr. Poroshenko and Ms. Gontareva impossibility,” – said Mr. Bakanov commented on the situation for a long time expressively Petro Poroshenko and former NBU Chairman Valeria Gontareva.
Why else is Medvedchuk accused?
On May 11, the GPU has already filed a notice of suspicion of deputies from “OPZZH” Medvedchuk. The case concerns three episodes.
After the annexation of Crimea, Medvedchuk allegedly facilitated the exploration of oil and gas fields on the Black Sea shelf and registered companies on the peninsulas under Russian law.
In addition, the politician is suspected of passing information to Russia through Kozak about the concealment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the planning of the Promin project.
The project, which looks like support for Ukrainians studying or working in Russia, recruits few, collects personal data and influences Ukraine’s domestic policy. The court chose Medvedchuk as a preventive measure in the vision of round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of an electronic bracelet.
Medvedchuk rejectsin accusation
Volodymyr Zelenskyi called for sanctions against Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife, Oksana Marchenko. Until now, the authorities have effectively shut down the media pool, which he called “Medvedchuk’s channels,” – within the limits of which the politician himself denies involvement.
Medvedchuk denies all accusations of financing terrorism against him and his associates.
He says that he does not plan to flee Ukraine, and supports his wife Oksana Marchenko’s decision to enter politics after demanding a sanctions list.
Mr Medvedchuk did not comment on the latest accusation.
