Florence in Dubai, the program for Expo 2020
Entrepreneurship, culture, art: the city plays as a team and Florence becomes the protagonist of Expo 2020 Dubai. A whole day dedicated to getting to know all the potential of the Florentine metropolitan city: from its art to its quality manufacturing; to its cultural offer; to its being the territory of innovative companies; tourism; of culture; university research.
In fact, on 10 October the Italian Pavilion will be dedicated to Florence as the world capital of beauty and well-made. And we will not speak only of cultural excellences, but also of productive ones, which are part of that Florentine image and identity that “the world likes”.
Alongside a representative institutional mission, which will be led by the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella – on behalf of the Municipality there will also be the councilor for Culture and International Relations Tommaso Sacchi – and will include the main institutional actors, namely Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Galleria degli Uffizi, University of Florence, Chamber of Commerce, Confindustria Florence as well as the CR Firenze Foundation and the Destination Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau.
To support the mission there will also be some Florentine companies of fashion, from audio technologies, digital imaging, technologies for the intelligent city, the tourism and cultural industry, the great hotel industry and furniture, or the manufacturing that makes quality and sustainability are their polar stars.
