Collapse of traffic in Prague and its surroundings. The D5 and D10 motorways closed mass accidents
The D5 and D10 motorways in the direction of Prague closed mass accidents on Friday. A total of 10 vehicles crashed, but the injuries were mostly milder, according to a rescue spokesman. The columns began to move slowly around five o’clock in the afternoon. At that time, however, due to rush hour traffic, traffic was collapsing in the capital. Most buses were late.
On Friday afternoon, all rescue services intervened in two mass accidents in the direction of Prague. The first collision occurred before three o’clock in the afternoon on the 37th kilometer of the D10 motorway. “It was five cars. Four people were injured, “explained Dagmar Zemanová, a spokeswoman for Central Bohemian firefighters, at TN.cz.
Other accidents occurred after 3 pm on the 4th kilometer of the D5 motorway near Rudná. “Two vans and three cars collided,” the spokeswoman explained.

One vehicle carried the penetration and it escaped. “The units were demonstrably sprinkled with sorbent so that the substances could be diluted and remediation could be carried out,” Zemanová settled.
According to the police, three people were injured in the accident, but fortunately the firefighters did not have to rescue anyone in this case either. But they helped with the transport of the wounded because the ambulance got stuck in the column.
“Both accidents went without serious injuries. All patients were transported to catchment hospitals with minor to moderate injuries, “said Petra Homolová, a spokeswoman for the regional rescuers, about the afternoon incidents.
Mass accidents in both places completely blocked the direction of Prague for about two hours. “Both motorways are already being driven,” said Jan Rýdl, a spokesman for the Directorate of Roads and Motorways, after five o’clock.
Drivers are delayed not only when traveling to Prague, but also directly in the capital. Most city buses did not run due to rush hour traffic.
⚠️ A very demanding Friday afternoon rush delay delays most city bus lines. The main goal is to maintain even intervals on the lines. Track the positions of the cars at https://t.co/U0VQQS6asx. https://t.co/ubGR9DYx7n pic.twitter.com/8OojFCrbfX
