Camerata Salzburg gets new managing director
Andreas Bräunig is moving to Salzburg from the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
A music-loving lawyer takes over the operational management of the Camerata Salzburg. Andreas Bräunig will be the managing director of the Salzburg Orchestra from November 15th. The lawyer and cultural manager, who has also completed classical vocal training, previously worked for the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra.
Andreas Bräunig succeeds Shane Woodborne, who has been a member of the Camerata since 1992, has managed the Camerata’s business with interruptions since 2004 and designed the seasonal programs. In June of this year he asked the board to terminate his management contract. …
