Every week, the ECDC maps out the current corona virus situation in the implementation of the European Union.
The map is based on the data reported to ECDC, which divides the different regions into four categories: green, orange, red or dark red.
- Orange will be a region if there are less than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, but also if the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is 50 or more but less than 75 and the proportion of positive tests is 1 number or more. This category is also valid if the number of new infections is between 75 and 200 per 100,000 inhabitants and the proportion of positive tests is less than 4 reasons.
- A region receives a red signal if there are 75 to 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants and the proportion of positive tests is less than 4 percent, or if the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is between 200 and 499.
