A new platform in Annecy for Dachser
After Rouen in Normandy, Dachser has just announced the opening of a new platform in Annecy, in Haute-Savoie. This structure allows the German group to increase its logistics capacities in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. “Gifts in Haute-Savoie for more than 20 years, we are now opening a new agency to respond effectively to the increase in our activity. The Annecy site is doubling its logistics capacities and strengthening our presence in the region’s transport and logistics activities “, indicates Mehdi Bejaoui, Managing Director of Dachser Rhône-Alpes.
120 tonnes of palletized freight per day
Designed for its customers specializing in industry, the new transport agency covers a total area of 3 100 m² and account 2 300 m² of docks with a cargo space of 18 doors, not six for carriers. The operating part also relies on 800 m² of offices. “With 6 daily lines, including two to and from Switzerland and Germany, the agency will handle 120 tonnes of palletized freight “, says Dachser in a press release. This site has 25 employees who organize and plan shipments and distribution to customers in the region.
This new platform thus joins an integrated network of 387 transport agencies spread over 42 country and is positioned as a relay of the Uberherrn hub, in Germany, distributing the countries of Central and Northern Europe within 48-96 hours.
