Toulouse. The TTM can be proud of its young people
Dunkirk, Metz, Châteauroux, Quiberon and Saint-Jean-de-Monts. This was the menu for the TTM (Toulouse Métropole Triathlon), between June and September, during the French championship for 1st division clubs. Upon arrival, the women’s team finished in 14th place (out of 16). For its part, the men’s team finished 7th (out of 16 as well).
“The record of our women is mixed. Admittedly, this was their first year at this level to gain experience. The initial goal was to finish around 12th place. In addition, next year, he there will be four descents in D2 “, entry note Nicolas Le Hir, president of the TTM and responsible for the Elite teams. But the leader remains positive all the same: “They still have a year to progress. They had doubts about their abilities, but gradually they realized that it was possible. They still have a little lack of confidence. It takes time, but it will come.
Among the men, we notably note an individual victory for the Hungarian Bence Biscak, a collective fourth place in Dunkirk and a success in the Grand Prix de Quiberon in U23 for Nathan Lessmann.
“We work to keep everyone”
“It is an exceptional year for this team composed mainly of French people. Note that our two youngsters Loris Lala (junior French champion) and Damien Andrada (French junior vice-champion) took part in this D1 championship with a superb performance in Saint-Jean-de-Monts where Loris finished 23rd and Damien 31st. When the results are there, confidence and morale follow and it is easier to continue, “summarizes Nicolas Le Hir.
As for the 2022 edition, the president of the TTM confides in us his wishes: “For the girls, we want to ensure the maintenance. The base of the team will remain the same, we will try to strengthen ourselves to bring a little experience and volume in the group. For the boys, the goal will be to do as well, if not a little better, but we are working to keep everyone. “
