Toulouse: a meal delivery man brings back a lost wallet with 500 euros inside the police station
Last week, a home meal delivery boy found a lost wallet with identity papers inside as well as several hundred euros. He left this object to the police who were able to return it to the owner.
This young man has made a civic gesture. Last week, a home meal delivery man while touring Toulouse found a wallet. Inside are all identity papers, vital card as well as more than 500 euros in cash. The young man will then turn away from his delivery round to make a detour through the Toulouse central police station. He then deposited this found object to the police. The latter carried out a few investigations to find the owner of the wallet. They ended up identifying a rather elderly man living in Ramonville Saint-Agne. The latter came to retrieve his precious wallet a few days later, delighted that someone had had the deposit refunded at the police station.
The delivery man wished to remain anonymous. “He did not want to play the hero, he deposited the object and left to resume the thread of his tour,” notes a police source.
The police emphasize this civic and honest act and encourage people to do the same in the same situation.
