Mayor of Debrecen – Papp László talked about the city screening program, Minister Katalin Novák talked about the pension premium in the seniors’ club.
The screening program of the Debrecen Institute of Primary Care and Health Development continued in the Sulas Street Elderly Club. The city is organizing 12 similar events for seniors in October. Mayor László Papp said: they are grateful for the work of the local beauties and they try to make it worthy of the city to celebrate the month of the elderly.

“Not only seniors associated with seniors’ clubs can take advantage of the screening option, but all seniors in the city as needed.
We want to implement a screening program that measures prevention by measuring blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, said László Papp.
The members of the Sulas utca Elderly Club were also visited by the minister without portfolio responsible for families. Katalin Novák confirmed that next month, pensioners and recipients of pension-like benefits will also receive an additional pension increase and premium. This affects 2.5 million people across the country.
– All pensioners in Debrecen can also expect a pension premium of HUF 80,000 in November, depending on the size of their pension. Even those with the lowest pensions will receive more premiums than ever before, as well as additional raises.
As you can see, with an average pension, you will receive a plus of HUF 100,000, said Katalin Novák.
The minister added that, depending on the economic situation, in February only those who are entitled to a two-month, or even a four-week, ie full 13-month pension, will be eligible.
