Among the selected constructions is, for example, the project of metro D, the Municipal Ring Road and the industrial semicircle or the construction of the Smíchov Transport Terminal. Other projects that will be presented within Expo Real not only by the professional public and investors are the Vltava Philharmonic Orchestra or a new residential development prepared by the Prague Development Company.
This year, the Prague stand at the Expo will be conceived in a more intimate way, the main emphasis will be on meetings with foreign investors and investment groups in order to present the potential for the development of localities in the immediate vicinity of the presented buildings. The fair will be attended by the capital, which will be represented by Deputy Mayor Petr Hlaváček, also the director of the Institute of Planning and Development of the capital. The City of Prague (IPR) Ondřej Boháč, his deputy Marek Zděradička and the director of the newly established city contributory organization Prague Development Company (PDS) Petr Urbánek.
“It’s great that after a one-year hiatus caused by the covid-19 pandemic, they can meet again in Munich. The capital city of Prague has not been idle during the last year and has been preparing its projects and investment events. We will be able to postpone the preparation of the construction of the Vltava Philharmonic, which is in the phase of an international architectural competition, or the Smíchov Terminal, for which project documentation is currently being processed. During any crisis, it is important not to stop the preparation of projects, because their implementation is an important element for economic recovery, “says Deputy Mayor for Territorial Development Petr Hlaváček and adds:” We are happy not only for foreign inspiration, but also to address potential partners and investment groups. This year, for the first time, Petr Urbánek, the director of the newly established Prague Development Company, is here with us.
“I am glad that Prague can present major Prague investments at the Munich trade fair, whether in the field of culture, transport or housing. For example, the Vltava Philharmonic is a project that aims to include Prague on the map of music metropolises and bring modern architecture to the city center. Investors will certainly be interested in urban construction, which is a priority for the capital and, thanks to the establishment of the Prague Development Company, is once again one step closer to affordable housing, ”says IPR Director Ondřej Boháč.
The stand for the presentation of Prague at the Expo Real trade fair in Munich functions as a space for business meetings and as a café. Its space-saving but significant dominant is a large LED screen on which the prepared projects will be presented. Stay in hall C1, stand number 323. The main point of its program will take place on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 3:00 pm, when there will be a presentation by the city management regarding new Prague infrastructure projects.
“I am very pleased that after almost twelve real real operations of the Prague Development Company, Prague has a fairly clear idea of the development of two key areas: Palmovka and the surroundings of the future Nové Dvory metro station, in addition to the ongoing preparation of several urban housing projects. I am convinced that the Prague development company made a significant contribution to this result, “adds Petr Urbánek, director of PDS.
