after exercise of the right of withdrawal and a defamation complaint, classes resume at the Lycée de Blagnac
After four days of right of withdrawal, the teachers of the Lycée in Blagnac (Haute-Garonne) will resume lessons. They denounced the management of their school head. The latter lodged a complaint for defamation because of an anonymous letter at the origin of the movement.
A listening cell. A mediation mission. A departmental CHSCT. And an administrative investigation. Since the beginning of the movement within the Saint-Exupéry high school in Blagnac (Haute-Garonne), near Toulouse, the rector’s services have done everything possible to try to calm tensions. Finally, a meeting between the teaching community and the academic director of the national education services in Haute-Garonne helped to unblock the situation. After exercising the right of withdrawal for four days, classes will resume this Friday, October 8, 2021.
Since Monday, some of the teachers and staff of the Lycée de Blagnac have been exercising their right of withdrawal in order to state the management of their head of establishment, a source, according to them, of abuse and suffering. This Thursday morning, the Dasen of Haute-Garonne finally decided to come on site to meet them and make them proposals.
And the teaching community agreed to suspend the movement on the basis of the establishment of a unit aimed at analyzing the dysfunctions within the high school. “The teaching team has positively welcomed the Dasen’s proposals, but remains vigilant“, specifies the staff in a press release.
Vigilance remains essential
Arrested the day before by France 3 Occitanie, Mathieu Sieye had mentioned an administrative investigation. “Mr. Dasen announced the start of an administrative investigation for today. Finally, this morning, we realized that it was only an analysis of the situation which will perhaps lead to an administrative investigation. We demand certainties“, then told us a teacher.
Regarding the possible suspension of the head of the establishment, the academic director of National Education in Haute-Garonne we retorted: “It is not for teachers to choose their school leader. The question should not be asked. It’s more complicated than that. I remind you that it is an anonymous mail (at the origin of this situation). I don’t know who is in serious and imminent danger. The teachers themselves. I am ready to help him.“
While denying knowing which of them is the origin of this letter, the teachers explain that they have never commented on a departure, temporary or not, of their director.
The association of parents of students Optimum has taken note of the right of withdrawal before Monday October 4 by the teachers of the Saint-Exupéry high school in Blagnac and remains attentive to its evolution. 1/2

Complaint against X
A school principal who decided to file a defamation complaint against X about this letter, citing his management as a source of “pain“, indicates a loss of meaning and can push the person to responsible”a desperate act“within the school itself.
“If classes resume tomorrow (Friday October 8), teachers reserve the right to mobilize massively, in case the situation does not change significantly.“, they said in their press release. The report of the analysis unit is already eagerly awaited.which will be carefully scrutinized by the teaching community“.
