The opening of new routes is related to the establishment of the basic company Wizz Air at Venice Marco Polo Airport, which we see today. From April 2022, the Hungarian low-cost carrier will base two Airbus A321neo aircraft, with which it will fly on four domestic routes and to twelve destinations abroad.
With the establishment of a new parent company, it continues to expand in the Italian market. This is already the sixth Wizz Air base in Italy. Previously, the company opened its bases at the airports of Milan-Malpensa, Catania, Palermo, Bari, Naples and Rome-Fiumicino.
Currently, Prague does not have regular flights to Marco Polo Airport in Venice. The low-cost airline Ryanair flies from Prague to Treviso Airport, which is located 40 days north of Venice.
