Toulouse: the associative leaders of the medico-social sector mobilized
About a hundred presidents, managers and directors of associations in the social and medico-social sector are gathering this Wednesday in Toulouse to demand better salaries and greater consideration. For them, the Ségur de la santé “has exacerbated the difficulties of their organizations”. The differences in commitment between financiers are very significant, which has a significant impact on recruitments.
They have the feeling of being forgotten by the Ségur de la santé. About a hundred representatives of the social and medico-social sector gathered at Square Charles-de-Gaulle in Toulouse this Wednesday morning. Objectives: demand “a salary increase and equal treatment for all categories of staff”. “It is exceptional that employees and employers claim the same choice. We are in a period of demobilization that I had never known before ”, underlines Sébastien Pommier, director of Agapei.
All the managers mentioned the recruitment difficulties due to low salaries, and consequently a drop in the quality of work. This, while “the profession is becoming more complex”. “The pay gap between two establishments can be 2,400 euros net per one for the same job. This results in emissions. Since the beginning of the year, 25 employees of my establishment have resigned. Last year, the Covid bonus was given to everyone, today, employees in our sector have lost this quality of caregiver ”, regrets Olivier Pierrot, general manager of ADAPEI 65.
“We demand a salary increase, fairness for all employees, and substantive work for the entire sector. This upgrading allows employees to come and work in our establishments, ”summarizes Anne-Claire Hochedel, regional delegate for solidarity actors.
