The traffic became more complicated at the 17th kilometer near Prague shortly after 11 am, where nine cars had to collide. Then, around noon at the 21st kilometer, the truck crashed into the barriers.
Traffic on both parts of the highway was limited to one lane, no injuries were reported, Vlasta Suchánková, a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian police, told ČTK.
In the first accident, according to the spokesman, a BMW car first crashed into the barriers, followed by a truck, which tried to return the crashed car and crashed into a van. “Another six vehicles did not brake,” Suchánková informed.
