The Saint-Clar cycling club at “All by bike-Toulouse 2021”
Members of the Saint-Clar cycling club took part in “All by bike-Toulouse 2021”. This event organized by the National Federation of Cycle Touring brought together no less than 3,000 female cycle tourists from all regions of France, supervised by guides. Two members of Saint-Clar, Serge and Louis, supervised a group from Gers, including the four women of the club (Brigitte, Marie-Laure, Maryse and RĂ©gine). A group from the Paris region reached Toulouse by bike in nine days with daily stages of 100 km on average.
Welcomed in an ephemeral village at la Prairie des Filters (strict sanitary control), different cyclists could register for tours of the city by bike. The various routes in the city (between 10 and 15 km) made it possible to discover the gardens, the great monuments, the mural art, the banks of the Garonne and the canals which cross the city. The groups of 10 cyclists were supervised by 3 trained volunteers, including a commentator. In addition, a giant bicycle garage can allow everyone to free themselves from their mount to eat on site and see various stands relating to “the little queen”.
The interventions of Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc and federal officials closed this large-scale event.
