On Wednesday morning, around 300 police officers stormed the partially occupied house “Rigaer 94” in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The reason this time: The officials should determine the personal details of the house residents.
“We are executing a judicial search warrant here in the house,” said a local police spokeswoman. It was issued at the request of the owner. “Some of the emergency services are in the house and already in the apartments.”
According to BILD information, it should be about 24 apartments and who exactly lives in them.
The street in front of the house was blocked.
On Twitter, the police urged residents to stay in their homes and be quiet.
The residents reacted angrily to the measures via Twitter and wrote that several apartments were being searched. “The reason has not yet been given to us.”

According to BILD information, the officers were in 17 apartments by 10.30 a.m., and the police were ready in the building around 12 noon. 24 apartments and an attic, which was probably used as an apartment, were checked.
Some of the apartments were empty. 26 people were found, their identities established. There were no acts of resistance.
The police found a kind of long gun whose authenticity should be checked. According to the first information, it is an air rifle.

The street in Friedrichshain is best known for the partially occupied house at number 94. The building complex is a symbol of the left-wing radical scene throughout Germany.
There are regular violent attacks on police officers in the neighborhood around Rigaer Straße. Patrol cars passing the street are attacked with paint bags, stones and fireworks for no reason. The project has long been controversial in politics.
