Nomad Homes wants to enter Portugal – idealist / news
AN nomadic houses, a technological startup focused on real estate, managed to raise 20 million dollars (about 17 million euros) in a financing round Series A, led by the investment fund ’01 Assessors’ and the entity ‘The Spruce House Partnership’. The company’s objective is to accelerate its expansion in Europe, and enter as countries Portugal and Spain.
“AN nomadic houses operates in Paris and Dubai and will use the new financing to accelerate its expansion across the EMEA region, specifically in southern Europe, including Portugal and Spain,” reads the statement, quoted in national and international press.
Proptech, founded by Helen Chen, Dan Piehler and Damien Drap, was released in 2020, in full pandemic, and according to the company saw its transaction volumes grow more than 16 times in the first six months of 2021. It uses the technology to “to give buyers the confidence to find and buy their ideal home “, which translates into a “simpler and more personalized” purchasing process, from research to financing and contract signing.

The company will use the new financing to accelerate expansion across the EMEA region, but also betting on investing “heavily” in its technology and in offering additional products and services to provide a one-stop shop for all home-related questions. “We are particularly excited to continue to invest in new fintech products and pricing tools to further streamline the buying journey for our customers,” says Piehler, CPO at Nomad.
