Matt Mitchell added to a round full of explosiveness and winners with an imposing dunk of his own to take SIG Strasbourg to a 75-73 victory over Kalev / Cramo in their opening game of the Basketball Champions League season.
Kalev’s Silas Melson had just tied the score at 73 points with seven seconds left, followed by a failed effort by John Roberson for the game-winner. Mitchell was alert, he grabbed the offensive rebound and eliminated the recoil dunk for Strasbourg. Melson tried to change the result again, but his three-point shot came after the final buzzer!
